Our Story
Juan Ocampo was born and raised in Miami, FL. After graduating from Felix Varela High School in 2010, he joined the US Marine Corps, where he served on active duty for almost 7 years. At first he was an avionics technician fixing electrical components on the AV-8 Harrier jet and then transferred to do embassy security duty. He was posted in the USA, Japan, Republic of Congo, Malta, India, and Croatia.
Juan graduated from Florida International University with a Bachelor’s Degree in International Relations in 2019. He then worked for 2 years as a security contractor with the State Department at the construction site of the new US Consulate in Sydney, Australia.
Ever since he was a little kid, Juan has had fascination with aviation and even dreamed of becoming a pilot. During his time in Australia he became interested in unmanned aerial vehicles, also known as drones. He started researching the drone industry, exploring different areas of drones’ application, as well as the benefits that drones can bring to his local Miami community.
Upon his return to Miami, he passed the Part 107 test, attended a week-long training course in Hartford, CT and in March 2022 Raven Drone Solutions was created. Raven Drone Solutions has contracted with various companies to provide an array of services to include aerial photography, industrial inspection, and 3D mapping and modeling.
Juan has also been working as a part time drone operator for a security company that is on contract with a local police department. His efforts have enabled local police to have an eye in the sky during sensitive operations and provide real-time intelligence to officers responding to the scene.

Our Drones
At Raven Drone Solutions we use DJI drones with state of the art technology that are capable of completing all sorts of missions. As our company grows and we venture into new markets, we will be acquiring other drones with more enhanced capabilities.
DJI Phantom 4 Pro V2
The workhorse of drones across an array of industries, this drone offers operators and customers a great amount of versatility with its capabilities and deliverables. DJI Phantom 4 Pro V2 can be used for capturing photosand videos, as well as completing visual inspections and mapping missions, using the dedicated software. This particular model has the capability of producing orthomosaic maps and capturing volumetric data,with a high degree of accuracy.
DJI Mavic 2 Enterprise Advanced
The DJI Mavic 2 EA is an old but reliable drone that offers a great deal of versatility in terms of capabilities and missions it is able to perform. From thermal inspections for solar, roof and other industrial applications to search and rescue, mapping, security, and so on. Equipped with a 48 MP camera and 640 × 512 thermal resolution, as well as a loud speaker and light beam, this drone is an incredibly capable for a variety of missions.
DJI Mini 4 Pro
With its compact size and sub 250 gram weight, this drone offers an array of impressive features for its small size. Capable of taking vertical and horizontal shots, as well as withstanding winds of up to 24 mph, this drone packs a powerful punch and is the best drone for crowded areas where people may be present. DJI Avata
